About Me

Hello There! Cameron Bartelt here. I'm a native Floridian with a deep love of the mountains and most any landscape not associated with Florida. A graduate of Point Park’s Musical Theatre BFA program, I spent most of my early life not doing theatre, but rather as a youth baseball player, varsity volleyball athlete, and avid outdoorsman/camper/camp counselor.

Outside of the theater, I can often be found at the gym, discussing Lord of the Rings, Marvel and Star Wars theories with friends, watching hockey (go bolts), or finding a time to continue whatever DnD campaign I’m currently involved in.

I didn't catch the theatre bug until my junior year of high school, but that didn't stop me from diving in fully. After changing my intended major last minute from aerospace engineering to musical theatre, I attended Florida School of the Arts for my Associates in Musical Theatre. On the FloArts stage, I played a number of roles, my favorites among them being Bernard in Boeing Boeing and Georg in She Loves Me. Following graduation, I transferred to Point Park University for my BFA in Musical Theatre, where I had the joy of playing Lt. Frank Cioffi in Curtains, Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing, and Herr Sonnenstitch/Stiefel in Spring Awakening, almog other roles. Leading into graduation, I enjoyed the opportunity to play Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar with Pittsburgh Musical Theatre before embarking with Regent Seven Seas Cruises as a lead vocalist.

With high aspirations of the big stage and silver screen, I dream of one day bringing life to a beloved comic book, sci-fi, or fantasy character. Until then, simply creating art with good people is more than fulfilling. Entering a room full of brilliant minds to create a living and breathing embodiment of heart and connection brings me unparalleled joy, and most any chance to do so is met with unbridled enthusiasm.
